When determining the appropriate feeding amount, always consider not only the dry matter intake but also the DCAD value of the total ration.

- Begin feeding 3 weeks before calving.
- DairyAnion should be fed up until calving; 1–2 days before calving, switch to a mineral feed designed for lactating cows.
- The dosage should be adjusted based on urine pH and the levels of calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), sodium (Na), chloride (Cl), potassium (K), and sulfur (S) in the ration.
- Unlimited access to fresh water must be ensured.
- Cation-anion balance (DCAB): -6300 meq/kg
