Enriched mixed rations are usually formulated for a performance level of 20 to 25 kg of milk, total mixed rations for more than 30 kg of milk. In both types of rations, the forage is supplemented with performance feed (grain, soya grist, canola meal). This results in rations with a lot of phosphorous and an enormous calcium deficit. A conventional mineral feed (10 g/kg T) cannot compensate for this.
